Kevin Huberdeau is an experienced professional engineer with over 35 years of multi-discipline engineering experience and has been directly involved in over 3,000 forensic related engineering projects.

With specialized experience in forensic investigation and analysis, including the investigation and assessment of fire and impact structural damage and digital vehicle forensics, he uses his depth of knowledge and awareness to assist clients by providing detailed investigations and analyses to reconstruct collision and structural failure events.

Denis Robertson is an experienced technologist with over 55 years of multi-discipline engineering experience.  For the last 21 years, his main focus has been in forensic engineering investigation, analysis and production of reports, building restoration drawings and specifications for disaster affected structures, building and municipal services, several unique projects and new building development.  He uses his extensive and varied knowledge and experience to aid in assessing and advising on the company’s extremely diverse projects.

His depth of knowledge assists co-workers and clients with all facets of assigned projects from initial client contact, assessment of project requirements through to Municipal approvals and final client deliverables such as reports, scope of remedial repairs, restoration and new building drawings, construction inspections and substantial completion inspection acceptance.

Luis Pernudi is an experienced Engineer with a Master of Engineering Degree in Fire Safety and a Master’s Degree in Project Management, complemented with advanced technical training in Engineering Insurance with Munich RE.  With more than 25 years of experience in the Insurance Industry, Luis was involved in many roles such as Appraiser, Inspector and Forensic Engineer.  Luis has ample experience in seismic and wildfire catastrophe events and has been involved with seismic probable loss calculations and the preparation of technical reports for Fire Insurance Rate Committees. (SEI), Luis has consistently delivered on Prime Consulting Services, Field Investigations, Building Remediation Assessments, Cause and Origin of damage, Structural Design, Failure Analysis and Remedial Repair procedures.

Anas Ashi is a junior structural engineer with approximately 5 years of experience in different areas. Anas graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in in Civil Engineering from Concordia University in Montreal with a specialty in Structural Design.

Anas joined the Snihur Engineering team in 2015. Throughout his employment, he has conducted numerous Forensic Investigations in insurance matters arising from residential and commercial building losses. Anas currently holds an engineer-in-training (E.I.T.) membership with the Association of Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA). He has satisfied the association experience requirements and will be obtaining his P. Eng. designation shortly.

Wes Snihur is a well-rounded and experienced Professional Engineer with over 45 years of experience in the consulting engineering industry. Early in his career, he was a Structural Engineer working on the design of various buildings, earth and water structures, overpasses, bridges, etc. Wes was a design and full-time site Engineer on the portions of the Edmonton LRT including the first construction project and bored tunnels. For the last thirty-five years, Wes has been involved less in the structural engineering design field and has concentrated in the investigative and forensic areas of engineering as they pertain to various types of property losses and disasters.

Wes has been involved in excess of 1500 forensic files, investigations, losses and reconstruction services working for insurance companies, adjusters, owners, brokers and contractors. He has a good understanding of the industry utilizing the expertise and technology required to provide the required services.

Michael Mertz is an experienced professional engineer with over 5 years of engineering and project management experience, Michael’s career has encompassed a number of roles in heavy civil, commercial and residential construction, and water damage restoration. The experience includes report preparation, negotiation, forensic analysis, evaluation of structural damage to buildings and bridges, design and review of structural repairs along with environmental and safety code enforcement. Michael graduated from Purdue University in Lafayette, US. He currently holds a Professional engineering license (P.Eng.) from APEGA and a Professional Engineering license (P.E.) from Indiana. Michael also has a background in commercial and residential water damage restoration, including involvement in large mold abatement projects. He has a special emphasis on health and safety, and works with the in-house team to reduce work related incidents.

Hannah joined the Snihur Engineering team in November 2017 with 5 years of accounting and clerical experience. Hannah deals with many tasks around the office; lending her experience and assistance in all areas of the company from answering and responding to calls and emails, to preparing documents, coordinating deliverables, managing account payables and receivables, supporting budgeting and book keeping procedures, helping to coordinate health and safety, and helping out the team with whatever they need. Hannah is currently enrolled at Grant McEwan University majoring in Anthropology, and hopes to receive her Bachelor of Arts degree in the next year.

Melissa has several years of experience in Health and Safety and recently completed her H.S.A. designation. Before that, she completed her Bachelor of Arts from Grant MacEwan University in 2010.
